Yorrys Raweyai

Founder

  • Senior politicians from Papua who have high attention to the preservation of Papua's unique animals such as Bird of Paradise and Turtle. "As a son of Papua, I have a moral responsibility to preserve the animals that have become an identity for Papua, and that is the legacy I want to leave for this land" Yorrys added during a visit to Sawendui in June 2012.

Robert Priantono Bonosusatya

Co-Founder

  • Successful entrepreneurs who care and love wildlife, especially birds. Establishing SPF with Yorrys Raweyai is one of his real contributions in preserving Indonesia's biodiversity.

Hanny Kusumawati

Supervisory Board

  • As An Advisor, she is very heartwarming and passionate about content planning producing creative for SPF’s social media and digital campaign. A traveler, creative-writer, and professional in communication industry, advising blue-chip multinational companies on their communications and content strategy.

Nancy Natalia

The Foundation's President

  • Concern to create conservation and community development program for local people. Nancy sets her heart on empowering local communities and sustainable programs for SPF and in Papua. Graduated from Central Queensland University in Sidney with a degree in media and culturel science. She is a seasoned communication enthusiast with extensive experience in journalism and government relations. Prior joining SPF, she attended an Executive Education in Harvard Kennedy School in Boston.

Welly Lonny Katherine Erari

Treasurer

  • Lonny school-age to high school in Yapen Islands, Papua, then appointed to the University of Pancasila. Having a very good knowledge of the natural condition, infrastructure, and characteristics of the people of Papua, is a capital for Lonny in managing the financial part of SPF.

Akmal Firdaus Patopang

Program Coordinator

  • A conservation scholar from the Faculty of Forestry Bogor Agricultural University who joined SPF since 2011. Together with the education team, Akmal who fell in love with Papua often visited schools, churches and indigenous communities in eastern Yapen to campaign for Bird of Paradise and Turtle conservation activities. Akmal also focuses on documenting the behavior of different types of wildlife in Sawendui.

Suratman Baharudin

Program Coordinator

  • A conservation graduate from the Bogor Agricultural University Faculty of Forestry who has also joined since 2011. Together with the Turtle Conservation Society Group, Suratman is in charge of ensuring that turtle conservation works well. In addition he is also believed to be the person in charge of the fishery and agricultural potential development program in Sawendui.

Recognition

Turtle Rescue Award from Conservation and Fish Type Directorate, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of RI to Mr. Musa Rumpedai, Head of the Marine Protected Turtle Conservation Group SPF.

Turtle Rescue Group "Desobis Headquarters" received KALPATARU Environmental Rescue Category in 2013. Turtle Rescue Group "Desobis Headquarters", is a turtle conservation group built by SPF, and has now been renamed the Sawendui Sea Turtle Conservation Society Group.

One of the 5 natural bird watching sites of Bird of Paradise in Papua launched by the Governor of Papua Province Mr. Lukas Enembe dated June 09, 2017 in Nimbokrang.
